Jorge Jesus asks Atletico for a longer period and must decide within 10 days – Rádio Itatiaia

With 12 days left before the team is reintroduced at Cidade do Gallo, Atlético still have no alternative to coach Coca. Market research, as found by Itatiaia, focuses on foreign options.

Jorge Jesus remains the main target in the market, and Alfinegro is still unable to get a “yes” from the Portuguese captain. As the gate brought Fala Galo, at the end of Tuesday (4), Jesus asked for more time to reflect; Itatiaia received information that the 67-year-old technician has set a 10-day period to make a decision.

Carvalal and termination fine

Targeting at least five other names, Atletico are no longer optimistic about the coach who has succeeded with Flamengo in 2019. One of them, Itatiaia has already told, is Carlos Carvalhal.

Currently in Braga, the Portuguese also welcomes the opportunity to work on the current Brazilian champion, but the penalty for his dismissal is very salty: 2.5 million euros (about 16 million Brazilian reals at the current price).

The report found that Carvalhal had, in fact, already accepted Gallo’s invitation and, motivated, tried to persuade Braga, at least, to underestimate the value of the cancellation.
