After a wait of more than two years, Metallica fans filled Couto Pereira Stadium to watch the band’s show. According to the organizers, the show was watched by more than 45 thousand people. This wasn’t Metallica’s first performance in Brazil, but it was the first in Curitiba.

Drummer Lars Ulrich, singer and guitarist James Hetfield, lead guitarist Kirk Hammett and bassist Robert Trujillo have been selling tickets since 2019. Opening performances at Brazilian shows are on Ego Kill Talent.

In the 2022 tour, the band will perform in Porto Alegre, Sao Paulo (10/5 – Studio do Morumbi) and Belo Horizonte (12/5 – Brazil Studio Mineirao). On other visits to Brazil, Metallica had already performed in Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo.

Among the Curitiba crowd who attended Coto Pereira was the Mayor of Curitiba, Rafael Greca. According to him, of the 45,000 people who were at the stadium, 20,000 came from other cities to watch the presentation.

The play featured the band’s biggest hits, Whiplash, Ride, Memorry, Seek, Moth, One, Sas, Whiskey, Unforgive, Bellz, Creep, Fade, Puppetz, Battery, Nothing, and Sandman.
