The New Ranger reached the national market and within 24 hours sold more than two thousand units, however, not only in Brazil, with the Argentines absorbing part of the volume, even more so since the pick-up was made there.

Available in XLT versions and limited to a 3.0 V6 engine, Ford’s mid-size pickup, in its second generation, began pre-sale yesterday (Thursday), at 4:00 p.m., logging more than 2,000 orders in 24 hours in both countries.

Volkswagen Amarok’s V6 competitor, the Nova Ranger makes no exceptions with the old model, which keeps its offering with the old 160-hp Panther 2.2 and 200-hp Duratorq 3.2 five-cylinder engines.

Exclusively for Ford customers, the pre-sale will only be issued to buyers of other brands on Monday (26), which will increase the number of orders for the new minivan made in General Pacheco, Argentina.

Pedro Tadeo Resende, Director of Sales and Networks at Ford commented: “This exceptional return shows our customers’ confidence in the brand and product. Ranger owners already know the advantages of the pickup truck and know that it has become even better in the new generation, which has changed its class level.”

Here, within 60 days, the 1,000 customers who booked their pickups will receive their pickups, indicating that the brothers left more than half of the lot at home, as the local factory was completely renovated with the latest equipment. And the capacity increased by 70% of production.

The New Ranger was also produced in South Africa, as it would have a New Amarok here, but for reasons unknown, VW gave up on making the second generation with the Argentines, thus focusing on the other side of the South Atlantic.

Meanwhile, the Nova Ranger seeks to rival the current regional Amarok, offering a V6 3.0 diesel engine with 250hp and 61kg per minute, connected to a 10-speed gearbox with 4×4 traction.
