VKN Aviation, a Brazilian company specializing in the buying and selling of aircraft, reports that the resumption of shows, post-pandemic, and this year’s Cultura budget increase is already reflected in the heating of the artist aircraft market, primarily with the sale of models that offer autonomy and lower operating costs.

The model favored by artists, according to the company, is the Cessna Citation CJ jet, particularly the CJ1 and CJ2 variants. “These aircraft guarantee autonomy for transfers and comfort between presentations,” says Alexandre Macedo, CEO of VKN Aviation.

Other models popular with singers are the Hawker 400 jet and King Air B200 turboprop. The price of the aircraft ranges from 2 to 6 million US dollars, depending on the year of manufacture.

With the market raging, these aircraft must be sought outside the country. For imports, the period ranges from 40 to 60 days. In the past year, models marketed by VKN have come from Germany, Mexico, Panama, Switzerland and, of course, the United States.

“The advantage of owning your own plane includes making sure that it will go through rigorous inspections and that it will be the responsibility of the owner to select the pilots and crew, ensuring safety and the most favorable flight and route planning. Plus, with an intense schedule, the performer knows he has the offset available at any time. He needs it,” concludes Macedo.
