Vasco da Gama has agreed to hire another reinforcement for the 2023 season. Defender and left-back Leo, from Sao Paulo, is the third reinforcement to join the squad led by coach Mauricio Barbieri. The player’s association with Gigante da Colina lasts until December 2025.
Born in Rio de Janeiro (RJ), Leo started his career at Fluminense, in 2016, after a notable passage through the youth teams. He still had a short spell at Londrina that year, on loan before returning to Rio. In 2018, he went to Bahia and had a great season in the Northeast, until he was hired by Sao Paulo at the end of that season.
In Tricolor Paulista, he had a long history, playing for four seasons and more than 150 matches. In Morumbi, he also started playing as a defender and was important in winning the Sao Paulo title in 2021.
