Overcast skies and light to moderate rain: This is the prediction that has been confirmed throughout Monday (11) and extends into Tuesday (12) holiday. In a meteorological bulletin, the Civil Defense Secretariat and voluntary actions highlighted the continuing rainy weather, with the temperature dropping in the municipality, which has a forecast maximum of 16 degrees Celsius. Operating in the operational attention phase since October 3rd, civil defense teams are still on standby to respond to incidents in the city.

Over the weekend, the shift was doubled, but no accidents were recorded due to rain. This Monday (11) until the end of the afternoon, the teams attended four incidents as a result of the rainfall: bridge head erosion, structural hazard assessment, landslide, and help isolate areas with fallen wires. The records were from the regions of Itaipava, Barão do Rio Branco, Quitandinha and Quarteirão Brasileiro.

The teams will remain reinforced until the holiday, with constant monitoring of city operations. The Independence District was the area that recorded the most rainfall in the past days, reaching 130.4 mm in the last 96 hours. “We are with our teams on constant watch and with a reinforced task force to provide the necessary support,” the Minister of Civil Defense, Jill Kimbers, emphasized.
