The Miss Universe organization also released a statement on the pageant's official Instagram page announcing its intention to "clarify certain inaccuracies regarding the Beyond the Crown program and the official judging processes of the 74th Miss Universe pageant."
"The Miss Universe Organization firmly clarifies that no jury has been created without initiative, no external group has been empowered to evaluate delegates or select finalists, and all pageant evaluations continue to follow established, transparent and supervised MUO protocols," the statement said.
