Leon S. Kennedy confirmed that the evil that resides in the entertainment store will appear in the reenactment.
Finally, Leon S.Kennedy has been confirmed to appear in Resident Evil: Requiem via a leaked image on the PlayStation Store.
The reveal of the new skin for the game featuring Leon finally puts to rest one of the biggest gaming mysteries of the year - something that developer Capcom itself refused to do - just days before Requiem's performance at The Game Awards.We'll probably see an officially announced Leon there.
This morning, Resident Evil fans began seeing new cover art appear on PlayStation 5 consoles on the preload screen for owners of the game's standard (non-Deluxe version of the game).Now we have confirmed it ourselves and can confirm that the image is legal.Leon is real.
The cover of the game shows a lewdness and haggard that seems to flow before the main character of the other main patron, grace of Ashcroft.In his appearance, LEON resembles his similar figure from his resident evil 4, his hair is almost found in a beautiful skin, its neck has its edge.
Rumors about Leon's involvement in Resident Evil: Requiem have been swirling for months, with Capcom specifically refusing to answer questions about the character at Gamescom in August.The game's developers have even suggested that Leon wouldn't be a good fit as a protagonist in the quieter parts of the game, as he's now too gray to be scary.But despite all this, Capcom left plenty of room for Leon to still be lurking somewhere, presumably during Requiem's most action-packed sequences.

Despite Capcom's secrecy, constant leaks point to Leon's presence in Requiem, while the game's story itself will be built around the characters.Requiem returns the franchise to its roots in the city of raccoons, where Leon used to be a rookie cop, and to the "global narrative" that began 30 years ago, starting next year.An early trailer for the game even showed the remnants of the raccoon son-in-law's police department, which hindered involvement.
However, amidst the frenzied speculation, Capcom wanted to keep fan expectations in check.Last month, Requiem producer Masato Kumazawa finally confirmed that "yes, there will be some characters from past series that will appear," but said fans shouldn't "get too excited or hyped."
Despite all this, Capcom has kept the secret under wraps - until today, just 80 days from the game's launch date (February 27, 2026) and just over 48 hours since its big splash at The Game Awards this Thursday - where gameplay involving Leon will now almost certainly be revealed in full.
Although Leon's involvement is confirmed, Requiem still holds many mysteries.Earlier this week, GameStop's website mentioned another unknown character, Rosemary Winters, who fans believe will play a minor role.And what will happen to these characters as Requiem ties into the existing stories of the series?Will Leon retire and calmly hang up his jacket?Time will tell the answer.
