By one difference, Atletico tied with Avai

With one player under 40 minutes, Athletico-PR managed to hold Avaí and tied 1-1 this morning (11), at Ressacada, in Santa Catarina, in a match valid for the 26th round of Brazil. William Butker and Terrance scored the goals of the match.

The result does not favor either team. While the hosts remained at the top of the tournament, they finished 18th with 25 points, Hurricane missed the opportunity to enter G4 from Brazil and remained in sixth place with 43 points.

All went well: Proactive Poetker

Very good in the game in all respects, in addition to scoring the goal that opened the scoring, he dominated the left side and serves Guerrero whenever possible.

It was bad: Vetinho was fired unnecessarily

Two minutes after the team tied the score and started searching for the match date, Vitinho made an unnecessary foul on the side and got red, making Felipão’s life difficult again.

Avaí don’t leave blanks

The lion did not leave Atletico Paranaense Play and present a compact team, with players close together to explore the touch of the ball. He alternated between attacks on the right and left sides and made an excellent performance in midfield, even if at times he showed mistakes in defences, leading to a goal at the start of the second half.

Athletico-PR plays on opponent’s failure

The hurricane couldn’t get over Avaí’s desire to leave the Z4. Given his value in direct link matches, Atletico Paranaense did not surprise, especially during the first half. With the ineffective right side, he struggled in the sector and left something to be desired in counterattack opportunities, but he took advantage of the marking failures and opening spaces to turn the tide of the game.

A draw with Hurricane leaves Leão tied in his ninth game without knowing how to feel the taste of victory in the competition. The team’s last victory was over Santos, 1-0, and is still in the seventeenth round of the Brazilian League. Since then, there have been five defeats and four draws.

Upcoming matches

Avaí returns to the field to face Atletico MGAt home next Saturday (17) at 16:30. Before Hurricane Cuiaba the next day (18), at 18:00. Both matches are valid for Brazil.
