The last time the Brazilian national team played in Manaus was in 2016, in a duel for the 2018 Russia Cup qualifiers. On that occasion, they beat Colombia 2-1, in a comeback. The author of one of the goals was Neymar.

This Thursday, at 9:30 pm, Brazil will play a qualifier on the field again, this time for the Qatar Cup, against Uruguay, for the 12th round. And before the duel, the Brazilian player recorded a video that replays the details of his last goal in the sports arena. See the video below

The duel represents the Brazilian team’s meeting with the fans after more than two years. This should have happened against Argentina, last month, in Sao Paulo, but the derby ended in suspension.

Arena da Amazônia should welcome 14,000 people tonight – 10,000 tickets have been sold, 1,000 were intended for guests and 3,000 were drawn to people vaccinated against Covid-19.

The team lost 100% of the advantage after their last-round draw with Colombia, but they are still undefeated and very close to ensuring the advanced rankings for the 2022 World Cup.

To get to the stadium, fans will need to be vaccinated against the coronavirus or have a negative RT/PCR test at least 48 hours in advance.
