Gabriel Barbosa was one of the main athletes with the new Flamengo coach, who gave the player new tactical functions. The top scorer now had greater defensive commitments and was also serving as a sort of playmaker, a position he had always aspired to play in his career.
Although he is playing in a new position, Gabigol continues to score goals: so far, he has scored seven times in 11 matches, as well as providing an assist. The number 10 returns to the field on Sunday (19), once again against Vasco da Gama.
