After the premiere of new episodes of HBO Max Documentary Brutal CharterOn Thursday (28), Guilherme de Pádua made a decision. He decided to remain silent in the face of criticism and accusations about the crime he committed that was depicted in Gravity – the murder of Daniela Pérez (1970-1992). The former actor stated that his life turned out for the better. “I must be a butterfly,” he said.
“I’m leaving, and stopping this thread. I believe the faith I hold will help me improve as a person on the inside and even do something for others.” In a video posted on their YouTube channel.
According to him, the guidance came from a pastor who has been with him for more than 20 years. ‘He said to me,’ said Padova, ‘Son, go like a stupid sheep to the slaughterhouse,’ referring to a passage from the Bible. And I said, “Pastor, but people talk nonsense, I have something to do.”
“My natural reaction is to stand up for myself, anyone who has a right to respond in the natural world, but I no longer live in the natural world. Every day when I wake up I remember that I am Guilherme de Padua, that I have this burden on my back and every morning a struggle.”
So Gilherme said the pastor said he wouldn’t change people’s mind. He continued, “He said, ‘You have to understand that you were a caterpillar, you lived a sloppy life. The Christian faith suggests a transformation, so you have to be a caterpillar turning into a butterfly.'”
“I don’t play the victim, but it’s not easy going back to the media after 30 years. I took my time, and did everything the law required of me. He lived a decent and secret life. What every former convict should do,” he defended himself, the priest asked him “I thank everyone who prayed and I ask you to continue praying.”
