The announcement was made in Budds Creek on Saturday

Finally, the USA’s selection for the 2022 Motocross of Nations has been announced. Apparently the selection for the two spots with 450 bikes has long been narrowed down, but there has been a lot of discussion about the 250 rider.

Chase Sexton, Eli Tomac and Justin Cooper have been selected to represent the United States at the 2022 Motocross of Nations.

The likes of Jason Anderson, Justin Parcia and Christian Craig were heavily considered as there were no exciting natives in the AMA Motocross 250, whose top three spots were all foreigners, but Justin Cooper’s two wins in the heats at Washougal and Unadilla decided the spot was his.

So the North American team lines up with Eli Tomac (MXGP), Chase Sexton (Open) and Justin Cooper (MX2). This will be Domak’s fourth appearance at the event, having been part of the 2013, 2014 and 2018 teams. Cooper competed in the country’s most recent participation in the Netherlands in 2019, before retiring in 2020 and 21. For the first time.

“I am very happy to be selected for the Motocross of Nations”Sexton said. “It’s been a dream of mine since I was little, I watched Ricky Carmichael, Travis Pastrana, James Stewart and other Team USA riders. It’s a really cool race – different from all the others. I went to Motocross of Nations 2018. RedBud 2018 and I could see, now I I’m excited to race. It’s going to be special for me, I grew up two hours away from RedBud and it’s like racing at home. I’m excited about it and the goal is to go out and win.”.
